Celebrities Are Losing Millions of Followers
Celebrities are the people that we all know and love, so their interviews make us happy when they talk about personal stuff, and we always like to know their news constantly, because we are curious about their life
Today we have kind of bad news; some of the Celebrities have lost millions of followers on their accounts of social media, so get to know the reason why.
Twitter’s partaking in a little summer cleaning and it’s targeting a number of inactive or suspicious Twitter accounts, if you are an active Twitter user, you are definitely going to survive the purge but a number of others are not so lucky.
Now a Twitter purge will affect the average user too much since we all probably won’t see a huge dip in our number of followers, however, it’s MORE different for some of our favorite celebrities. In fact, time is reporting that some of our biggest favorite celebrities have lost millions of followers already.
She Is one of the most famous singers in the whole world she is a really good singer but there’s some bad news about her twitter account like this is a shock for her unfortunately but maybe she will try to calm down because of this.
According to “Time” Katy Perry has lost 1.5 million followers and while that is a pretty hefty number it’s not nearly as much as “Justin Bieber” and “Taylor Swift” and Former President Obama who each lost a reported 2 million followers
There is a press reported that “Rihanna” and Lady Gaga” lost two million each, while the USA reported that “Kim Kardashian” has lost 1.7 million followers of her own. While this may all seems super sudden it sounds like an account purge has been in the works for quite some time.
Twitter legal policy and trust and safety lead explained why this is in a lengthy video, she explained a quote.
Follower counts are a visible feature, and we want everyone to have confidence that the numbers are meaningful and accurate; “over the years, we have locked accounts when detached sudden changes in account behavior.
In these situations, we reach out to the owners of accounts, and unless they validate the account and reset their passwords, we keep them locked with no ability to log in.”
This week we will be removing these locked accounts from followers counts across profiles globally, as a result, the number of followers on many profiles may go down’, most people will see a change of four followers or fewer; others with larger follower counts will experience a more significant drop, we understand this may be hard for some, but we believe accuracy and transparency make “Twitter” a more trusted service for public conversation, SHE SAID
